| Domain | You must have your own domain name for your email, not a shared or third-party domain. For example, your email address should be similar to your_name |
| Access to MX Records | You or your email administrator must be able to change your DNS MX records (used to direct your mail flow). If you own your domain, you should be able to change your MX records by working with your domain name provider or ISP. Our activation instructions will walk you through this process. |
| Mail Servers and Service Providers | Supported Mail Servers: The service supports all common mail servers, including Microsoft Exchange Server, Lotus Domino, Postfix, Sendmail, Macintosh OS X Server, and Novell Groupwise. Google Apps: The Message Security service is not recommended for use with Google Apps Standard as outbound filtering is not supported. We recommend you consider Google Apps Premier, which includes Message Security and Discovery, powered by Postini. |

| Mail Servers and Service Providers | Supported Mail Servers: You or your email administrator must have administrative control over your own mail server to set up your outbound mail to flow through the service. The service supports all common mail servers, including Microsoft Exchange Server, Lotus Domino, Postfix, Sendmail, or Novell Groupwise. Supported Service Providers (hosted email): At this time, we do not support webmail server (such as Yahoo! Domains) for your domain’s email. If you do not own your own mail server, we recommend you consider Google Apps Premier, which includes Message Security and Discovery, powered by Postini. Google Apps: The Message Security service is not recommended for use with Google Apps Standard as outbound filtering is not supported.
